ABOUT.History.Monique Adele was founded by Director Mon Frampton. It began as a project based on necessity after Mon found herself made redundant at the beginning of the recession in February 2009. In serious need of something to wear for her sisters Graduation, she found herself on her journey to the perfect recession friendly dress, completely frustrated. Not with the selection of products, as New Zealand has a plethora of fantastic designers, but with so many of these labels being "Designed in New Zealand" and made in China. This trend still saw Made in New Zealand prices being attached to lower quality mass produced goods.Mission.Monique Adele is not about "reinventing the wheel" so to speak, but seeks to provide high end designer sportswear seperates, occasion and made to order bridal wear, designed AND made in New Zealand.
